Description

  • Polyglactin 910 is an Absorbable Synthetic Suture, Multifilament, that comply all USP requirements.
  • Polyglactin 910 is made of a Poly (Glycolic-co-l-lactic) 90-10 and covered in Poly (Glycolic-co-l-lactic) 30 -70 of Calcium Stearate.
  • It is degraded by Chemical Hydrolysis, that later is absorbed and metabolized by the human body. The absorption process is followed by a mass loss and fully absorbed in 90 days.
  • It is available in violet color and sterilized by Ethylene Oxide.

Indications

Polyglactin, Synthetic suture, is ABSORBABLE, multifilament; Sterile is indicated for use in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmic, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Episiotomy, Urology, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, General Closing, Bondage, Pediatrics and Cuticles.

Not suitable for Cardiovascular and Neurological tissues.

Contraindications

As a synthetic suture should not be used when be necessary to support tissues for prolonged periods.
