Biological Indicators
Biological indicators are used to eliminate microorganisms, It allows the efficiency of sterilization processes.
These indicators contain high resistance non-pathogenic spores such as Bacillus Subtilis for control of sterilization by dry heat and ethylene oxide and Bacillus Stearothermophilus for sterilization by steam under pressure, hydrogen peroxide plasma, and formaldehyde.

Chemical Indicators
Chemical indicators are used to corroborate the proper functioning of the sterilizing equipment.
They are usually composed of salts of different metals that when exposed to variables such as temperature-humidity or temperature-concentration change color.

Wash indicators
Designed for routine control of cleaning processes and for monitoring automatic washing machines effectiveness as well as for monitoring ultrasonic washing machines which operate at frequencies equal to or greater than 35 kHz, and temperatures between 30 ºC and 70 ºC.
